The iResearch Academy brings superior STEM training to early high school and high school students with a particular interest in science research. All aspects of STEM success are leveraged in this program which combines the finest mentors with an exceptional curriculum. iResearch Academy (iRA) mentors have shown outstanding performance at the International Science and Engineering Fair, Regeneron Science Talent Search, VEX Robotics, or even National History Day. No matter what it is, our iRA mentors have made it to the top.
Featured in the National Geographic film Science Fair, Dr. Serena McCalla leads the iResearch Academy with competition experience and excellence. After over a decade of teaching science research and training students for science competitions she has started the iResearch Academy to bring her competition expertise to the world. Along with science and mathematics courses that invoke critical thinking and problem solving skills necessary to complete research projects. iResearch Academy will lead, train, and support all students to attain excellence in science competitions.
Students will be taught key scientific skills by Dr. Serena McCalla, who has mentored more than 2000 students over 14 years to success at the world's most prestigious science competitions (e.g. STS, ISEF) and whose alumni attend top universities (e.g. Harvard, Stanford, MIT). Dr. McCalla's has crafted her research program such that students annually win the most prestigious regional, national, and international competitions:
- Toshiba ExploraVision
- Lexus EcoChallenge
- Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) --> Dr. McCalla has worked with 3 top 10 winners since 2020
- Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS; over 86 semifinalists and 16 finalists in the last 14 years)
